We look forward to welcoming you to our site. We are ideally situated for you to tour the North East of England to reach a wide variety of scenery, excellent food, top quality theatres, varied recreational activities and magnificent historical sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are situated on the outskirts of the town of Sedgefield on the A689 a short distance from Junction 60 on A1 (M) and approximately 6 miles from the A19. We recommend you use Google maps for directions, use postcode TS21 3FP – do not rely on sat nav devices as this is a new postcode and many have not been updated to find us accurately. Our what3words are greeting.shine.wobbling<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are open all year and offer good access to our all hardstanding, serviced pitches. Each pitch has lawned areas, 16 amp electricity, with free wi-fi connection and satellite hookup. We can accommodate any size motorhome or caravan and offer separate motorhome waste disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome friendly and well behaved dogs onto our Certificated Location. As a working farm, dogs will need to be kept on a lead at all times during your stay. There is a car free dog walk from the site into Sedgefield. Also we have two enclosed dog fields that are available to hire privately – visit www.paws-play.co.uk<\/a> to book in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are half a mile, a 10 minute walk along Beacon Lane, to the town centre which offers a good selection of shops, supermarkets, including a post office, coffee shops, eateries and public houses. George Bolams is our local wholesale butcher, where you can buy a lunchtime carvery, very reasonably priced meat for your barbeque or meat to take home and fill your freezer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hardwick Country Park is a must for everyone searching for a tranquil walk and a delicious coffee. The Dun Cow Inn comes highly recommended for good food and is also famously where Prime Minister Tony Blair & George Bush had lunch together. Wynyard Hall Gardens and farm shop are a couple of miles away and well worth a visit for anyone who loves roses!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bus route through the town will take you in all directions to explore the county, from Newcastle, Durham, Middlesbrough to Darlington, the Dales or Hartlepool, Seaham and Sunderland. Also a regular connection service to North Yorkshire where you can explore Whitby, Helmsley or the coastal towns of Redcar and Saltburn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our location is perfect for many days out – Durham Cathedral and Castle and Beamish historical museum are “must” visits! Darlington is the birthplace of the railways with the Locomotion and Head of Steam museums a short drive away. The production of Kynren at Bishop Auckland attracts visitors nationwide. Bowes museum, Raby Castle and High Force are all within easy reach. Whereas Teesside’s Transporter Bridge, the hidden gem of Yarm and Saltholme RSPB bring many other interesting days out. And finally, Harlepool’s historic museum and the ship Trincomalee, another idea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are on the National Cycle Network. Golf and fishing are available close by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The town hosts a Farmers Market every first Sunday of the month, a Mediaeval Fayre in May, Beer Festival in July and Agricultural Show in August, Folk Festival in September, also Sedgefield Racecourse has Car Boot Sales on Thursdays & Sundays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
